OUR LATEST INSPECTION
Rated GOOD by Ofsted
The Brambles Nursery was inspected by Ofsted in February 2023 and was rated GOOD.
We are proud that the report recognised the happy, secure and supportive environment at Brambles and the strong relationships between our children, staff and families.
What Ofsted found 🌱
Ofsted highlighted that:
- Children are happy and confidently enter the nursery.
- Children have strong relationships with staff and key persons and feel secure in the environment.
- Children enjoy a wide variety of interesting activities and opportunities to learn through play.
- Children are encouraged to develop independence throughout their day.
- Staff know the children and their stages of development well.
- Children are supported in their personal, social and emotional development.
- Staff support children’s language and communication and help them develop a love of stories and reading.
Safeguarding
Ofsted found that the arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
The report recognised that staff are knowledgeable about safeguarding, understand how to identify and report concerns, and are supported through recruitment procedures, induction and safeguarding training.
Continuing to improve
As part of the inspection, Ofsted identified areas where Brambles could continue to develop. These included:
- Reviewing the indoor learning environment to further support children’s concentration.
- Supporting staff to plan effectively for the needs of older children, particularly during whole-group activities.
We use inspection feedback alongside our own ongoing evaluation to continue developing the experiences we provide for children at Brambles.
